Last weekend while Mr. Beisbolfan worked, I went to Flagstaff to visit friends. I hadn't been there in years, and had forgotten what a cute town it is.
The Burnett Family bluegrass band played a free concert in Heritage Square
It was cloudy, and about 25 degrees cooler than Tucson
Love the old signs
Photogenic Weatherford Hotel
I was really taken with this musical family
Back at Jac & Richard's place, my new baseball scoreboard shows the Diamondbacks ahead of the godless Dodgers
The pine trees smelled wonderful
Carla Camry enjoyed Flagstaff
Walking tour of historic downtown
I love the old motel sign in the background, statue of a gandy dancer (railroad worker) in the foreground, and sleeping Native American in between
Run, Forrest, run! I didn't realize that the race scene in Forrest Gump was filmed right on this street.

Next time you go to Flag, go into the old North Campus Acitvity Center and somewhere near the entrance to the theater on a column or wall is a bronze plaque mentioning your Grandmother Munro's role at Arizona Normal School.
