Today my good friend Anne took my mom & me to lunch at Jake's, a world famous Portland restaurant that I've always wanted to try. It was fabulous. Here's a look at the menu. (Look closely!)

Fun in Oregon

My mom & I are on a fun road trip in Oregon, visiting family & friends. The weather has been perfect. The only thing that would make the trip better would be Mr. Beisbolfan.

Darlingtonia Californica, cobra-like plants. These are really unusual, to say the least.

When I am queen

I just added another item to my list of things that I will change when I rule the world. No more directions on the bottom of things that you have to cook! I'm trying to bake some fish tacos from Trader Joe's, and you bake them in the container they come in. But the directions are on the bottom of the container. Whose brilliant idea was that? Other things that will no longer be allowed are nylon threads, especially in underwear. Won't that be a better world? Vote for me.
